4O1! Creative won two solid American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) at the American Advertising Federation – Greater Lehigh Valley (AAF/GLV) ADDY Award Ceremony on Friday, March 6, 2015. The event took place at the Allentown Brew Works in Allentown, Pa.
4O1! Creative won a Gold ADDY Award for www.smellthechange.com, a microsite designed specifically to showcase the “Smell the Change” campaign for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The “Smell the Change” campaign introduced a fresh look for both the team and baseball fans with new uniforms and merchandise. 4O1! Creative was responsible for producing a user-friendly site with engaging graphics to highlight each ensemble’s story while separating the campaign from the team’s current MLB site.
Ryan Lynn, Senior Graphic Designer, led the project. “The IronPigs wanted visitors to get the full ‘IronPigs’ experience, so we envisioned the site like an actual baseball game,” he says. “We needed to have the site focus on the story of the game, which is why the homepage features a fielder, a hitter, a pitcher and a fan.”
4O1! Creative also took home a Silver ADDY Award for the overall design and development of www.thewaterfront.com, a fully responsive and adaptive site for The Waterfront Partners. An exciting and ongoing project, the site is a platform for what the Waterfront Partners envision will one day be – an integration of businesses, apartments, new job opportunities and more.
“The site is currently a sales tool to showcase what opportunities are available for interested parties,” says Chris Koelle, Senior Developer. “This is why it was crucial for the site to incorporate an adaptive and responsive design. It needs to be recognizable no matter how or where you are viewing it; so the site will resize for mobile, tablet, or a large-screen device.”
