Sometimes, after a long day of coding and content, back to back status calls, or staring at the screen touching up an image, you need to get up and walk around.
So every day at 3, we get some sun and throw a nerf ball around. It started out with just a steady crew of three Creative team members going for a walk around our industrial complex, then we added the nerf ball, and slowly the rest of the team joined. Since its implementation, we have added a few more team members and purchased a new nerf ball. Yet, every single day at 3, we still walk (or “Balk” as we like to call it).
This was Kyle’s very first walk and ball. He seems to be enjoying it. So does his beard.
Not just deskmates, but also friends.
Still having fun.
This is the only proof that our cameraman, Andrew, participated in “Walk ‘n’ Ball”
The action shots are out of control.
Devon, our Safety Coordinator, demonstrating how to avoid injury.
The end of our walk always ends the same way, with the “Chain Reaction”. This is a game where the team runs and bounces the ball off the side of the building for the person behind them in the chain to catch and continue on in the chain. This would work wonders as a team building exercise at a corporate conference. We would not know, as we have yet to perfectly complete the chain. Yet, we always try.
