When 4O1! was approached by entrepreneur and fashion designer Lauren Midlam, creative director of LM Stylebar, to shoot some fashion photos the team eagerly jumped at the opportunity.
After securing her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University, Lauren’s love for fashion took her to the West Coast where she attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California. While living in Southern California and honing her fashion senses Lauren worked at the headquarters of stores such as American Apparel and St. John’s Knits. With all this experience and education under her belt Lauren still wasn’t content and decided to return to the East Coast to obtain her MBA in Management from her alma mater, Lehigh University. It wasn’t for several more years while working for Urban Outfitters corporate headquarters in Philly that Lauren decided to venture out on her own and launch LM Stylebar.
I’m clearly not the target audience, but every woman I share the photos with loves the designs and even more so when they get to hold a sample in their own hands. -Brian Wcislo, Photographer
LM Stylebar is a women’s fashion company that revolves around classic pieces that can easily be mixed and matched. Lauren has designed staples such as pencil skirts, blouses, and blazers that can be taken from day to evening in style. The collection features fashionable apparel made of high quality fabrics for a reasonable price.
When it came time to show off her line, 4O1! photographed the pieces for her online catalog www.lmstylebar.com advertisements for Lehigh Valley Style and editorial for Valley Social Magazine. 4O1! produced two on-location shoots for LM Stylebar, hiring the models, make up artists, and hair stylists. Shots were taken at the STEPS building at Lehigh University and at Melt in Saucon Valley.
