Our relationship with Discover Lehigh Valley started in 2008 with the redesign and development of the Destination Marketing Organization’s content rich and feature intensive website. Today, after several years of growing and grooming this web platform, Weidenhammer is still an integral part of the organization’s online success Now in our third iteration of the site’s interface, it is more streamlined and polished than ever. As a Destination Marketing Organization, Discover Lehigh Valley had a serious demand for some custom web application development. Of the many tools we built on this web platform, the most noteworthy are the Interactive Map, Events Calendar, Coupon System, Live Partner Search and the latest addition; a fully integrated Facebook profile component. With so much content for people on the go, a solid mobile version of the site was a must for Discover Lehigh Valley. This stand alone mobile site pulls in all the partner and event information from a shared database, allowing users to access thousands of pages of well-organized content and sift through it via location, category or date. The site was built to function like a native iPhone application for ease of use and organization of copious amounts of content. Check out the Featured Events and What’s Nearby tools as they are two of the most popular functions the site has to offer.
Over the years, our teams have collaborated on the design and development of over 20 microsites, each with a specific purpose and often built around niche content. After a year of covering the Lehigh Valley’s most exciting events, best attractions, and historic landmarks, Weidenhammer’s photography team has built a library of vivid images for DLV to use throughout it’s marketing collateral. Always keeping the visitors of the website in mind, we include endless photographs of sights across the Valley.
Over the years, our team has designed, developed and maintained a flexible web platform powered by an open source content management system that can grow with the organization. Additionally we deployed a highly customized mobile site, launched 20+ microsites, have developed numerous logos and built an arsenal of high quality marketing images for this DMO.
